More questions (for future blog entries or here):
1) How long do you have to hold off exercise after either ICL surgery?
2) Did you grill the doctors about what kind of analysis/testing makes ICLs
suitable for contact sports?
3) How thick are your corneas? ...... and if they're thick & you're only
around -4, how much resistance did various doctors put up about you wanting ICLs
when Lasik is the much safer procedure? I'm under the impression some docs
consider it unethical to go ahead with cracking the eyeball when a much less
invasive technology is available.

Hi all!
I've been a lurker on this list for a while now. Last week I finally
pulled the trigger: I'm about to get my ICLs inserted starting next
week. Left eye on Monday, right eye (my dominant one) on Tuesday the
week after.
First I'd like to thank everyone on this list for all their posts and
insights. Having this resource available really aided me in making my
decision. Thanks guys!
I suspect I'm probably somewhat different from most of the posters
here since I only have medium myopia (-4/-4.25) and very mild
astigmatism (<0.25). Hopefully my experiences with ICLs will be of
interest to those that are looking into alternatives to Lasik even
though they may be eligible for it.
I've recently started a small blog where I will document my ICL
experience. Right now it contains mostly background info explaining
how I got to where I am now and why I chose to go with the Visian
ICLs. But of course I will update it with details of the procedure and
the results:

Hopefully it'll be of interest and help.
Thanks again!
Kolja
