Congratulations on your surgery! About the glare; I have it too, but
mostly in bright light. It is just as you describe, low in the field
of vision. When I am outdoors, even on fairly cloudy days, polarized
sunglasses do the trick for me. I tend to wear sunglasses everywhere
now. It doesn't seem to bother me at night so much. I have blue
eyes, and cannot see the holes, but I know they are there. If I open
my eyes wide in bright light, a lot of light comes in through those
holes. It would be preferable if the surgeons could explain this
effect (or side effect) before the surgery. Obviously, the degree to
which people are affected by this varies, but the possibility should
be discussed.

so.

like looking through several pieces of hair or a dewy spiderweb. It's
just below my line of sight. It is really bad in bright surroundings
or driving at night. My PI holes are of such a size that I can easily
see them when looking in the mirror. My eyes do open widely and the
holes are barely covered with my right eyelid, but are covered more
so with my left eyelid.

Not a good option.

> As for the contact lens. I am going to wait for my eyes to heal and
to see how I adjust to the glare. It may become unnoticeable as I get
adjusted to it. If it is still bothersome a few months out, I will
get fitted for this lens and will wear it when I need it. It's just
like a regular contact lens but somehow it filters the light. I
imagine it would have dark edges. I have VERY dark brown eyes so it
wouldn't even be noticeable on me.
