Hi Jean,
My Visian prescription is -5.0 in each eye. I don't have as high a
level of myopia as it seems many in here do. I also have astigmatism
in both eyes, but I am not sure exactly what those readings are. I
did just have a corneal topography done to help determine what might
be causing the problems, so I should be able to give some more info
later.
Overall, I am becoming more happy with the implants as time goes on.
I just wish someone could tell me what is causing the problem and if
there is a fix for it (I won't mind wearing glasses for work, driving
at night, etc.) - that is the most frustrating part, that nobody
seems to know about these issues.
I can drive at night; sometimes the problem is worse than at others.
The funny part is that on one occasion I was driving about 2 hours
and started to have problems about for about the first 45 minutes.
At that point, I could almost feel my eyes relax and all of a sudden,
everything cleared. The ghosting and haloes stopped, my vision
improved somewhat and I made it home just fine. I think there is a
mental aspect to this that I am still trying to figure out - there
definitely is some physical thing going on, but somehow it seems that
I can get through the problems if I concentrate hard enough.
Hope that helps.
Andy

continually considering it, due to the hazing and ghosting side
effects many talk about. I had those with hard contacts, which made
them impossible to wear for me (but glasses are getting to be
impossible now, due to my high correction).
