A universe of practical physical immortality   Message List

Mr Stewart , of the Daily Show , had as a guest an astronomer .
This astromoner stated that ther are more stars in the known
Universe than words that have been uttered by man .

If we consider the scenario where many of these worlds have
planets similar to Earth and inhabitable by us then this is
an incredible number of worlds .
If we also consider the , unlikely , possibility that none of
these habitable worlds has a dominant species that is dominant ;
then the extent of colonization of these worlds by practically
immortal humans is immense .
I suggest to you that this might be what we are evolving towards
and that in due course we will have the capability to reach any
of these worlds . Though not through any Physics presently known.
Consider this as being an impetus to discovering new principles.
As these worlds are so numerouus , procreation , in the traditional
and technologically enhanced sense , is ineviatable for Practically
Immortal inhabitants .

Remember , more stars than words , thus far uttered .
