Re: [physical_immortality] Creating Immortality by word.
I notice that a senior partner in Intel has an interest in stem cell
research .
As you probably noticed I take a rather concise approach toward
this research ; as it is presently the research is rather primitive ; this I
mentioned awhile ago .
At the World Transhumanists Asscociation website I notice a number of
new technologies under development , including nanotechnology , in
particular
bio-nanotechnology .
All of this is interesting and potentially useful for research into
regenerative
medicine , however there's no clear motivation for studying this ,
whereas my
objectives are very clear and always of paramount importance .
Don't be misled stem cell research and regenerative medicine are
significant .
We all started out as stem cells ; as did much of the life of this
planet .
A recent emphasis upon the cancerous state of embryonic and adult stem
cells
detracts from the eventual ability to rectify these problems .
Having worked in the area of cancer diagnosis I know how limited the
previous
approaches have been and how limited the present approaches are .
