As my original message keeps coming up I better tell the rest of my
tale! When I was taught to apply the barrier it was pointed out that
one needs to apply a ring of Stomapaste near the opening I make in
the barrier, to aid adhesion. (The nurse told me this). Some time ago
I forgot to do this and my soreness disappeared. I have not used the
paste since and have not had any more soreness. Sometimes it pays to
be forgetful! Richard.

Hi Richard, Sorry you are having problems but yes sometimes you can get sores around your stoma. You need to call your MD or see the ET nurse in your area...

I have not used stomadhesive paste for years as I suspect the product utilizes a solvent or other vehicle (I use Eakin Cohesive Seals). I have found it useful...
