40 Years ago when I had my surgery, my folks didn't know of any support
group. (Still lived at home) My case was a must do surgery and with
risks! Doctor knew a softball player from a very good local team that
had an Ileostomy. He was the only one to visit, but I still remember the
relief of seeing him come into the room and talking of playing ball. He
offered help after the surgery and for some time later. Please do ask
around, never know when someone knows someone that could and will help.
