Just a quick note to let everyone know that the surgeon has scheduled mom's
reversal surgery for April 29th. He was very blunt with us on the risks for this
surgery, but mom is going ahead with it. They are planning on at least 6-8 days
in the hospital if all goes well. Then at least 2 months of needing my full time
care. We're hoping that i can go into my own place come August. The rest of my
family will be here, so basically will have to go whether she's ready or not,
just will have to come back more often if needed. We'll see how it goes.

. There is a very good possibility that she will be in for Mother's Day and her
Birthday (May 11), so will have to do whatever we can to make those days
special. i've learned to celebrate every holiday with gusto no matter how minor,
because she may not be with us for the next one. my fiance, who is a truck
driver, is sending a teddy bear for her. i found out that she has never in her
62 almost 63 yrs received a teddy bear. So he found a good size one, and it will
be in her room waiting on her when she comes out of recovery. At this point,
will be staying at the hospital with her full time, unless i can find someplace
super cheap to stay. The hospital is 2 hours from our home and my step father
can't handle hospitals. She spent most of the last stay with no visitors, that
will not happen again. Even if i have to sleep in the waiting room or on a cot
in her room. Will talk to teh doc about that later. Is there anyone here in the
Tucson AZ area????? *giggles*
