I have had a colostomy and ileostomy for over 20 years but somebody
else has always taken care of my applieances for me. I want to learn
to do this on my own but I'm not sure who I should contact to teach me
to do this. Does the ET nurse do this and would she do this on an
outpatient basis since I'm not in the hospital? The person who does
it for me now can't really teach me because I'm in a wheelchair so I'm
sure the way I would have to do it would be different from the way he
does it. I would appreciate any advice you can give me. Thanks
