Hi Richard,
Sorry you are having problems but yes sometimes you can get sores around your
stoma. You need to call your MD or see the ET nurse in your area about it. There
are several things they can do and tell you what to do about it. I had a big
problem right after my surgery. So I know a Little how you must feel. I am also
a nurse R.N. and you really need to see someone that knows how to treat your
problem. No one is the same so your problem could be caused from several reasons
that you need to get checked out. I would not want to tell you or advise you
what I have used due to the fact yours may be caused from something different.
Hope I have helped you some.
Sincerely,
Pam

I am getting a sore skin surface I believe from the adhesive and/or
the stomapaste attaching the barrier. Is this a common occurrance? Is
there a medication for this problem? Thank you. Richard
