I've had mine for 15yrs now and it took me about a week to learn how to change
it making sure you have the right stuff with you when you do so. Now having
accidents well I still have those if i'm not fast enough to do so or when I'm
half asleep when its messed up in the middle of the night. I hope I answered
some of your questions on this I know it's hard but give it time. You'll learn
soon enough just watch the one changing it for you and do what they do or tell
them you want to do it they'll stand and watch to make sure you do it right.

very much. I have both a
colostomy and an Illeostomy. I've always had help in changing the
appliances but I want to learn to start doing it myself. What I'm
wondering is how long did it take you all to learn how to do this
yourselves without any accidents and how long did it take you to feel
comfortable doing it? I'll appreciate any help. Thanks
