Dawn i have had kidney stones for years due to crohns diease for over 30
yrs..all i'm ever told is don't drink dairy with milk they form faster doing
that..and drink drink drink drink...i even tried the calcuim magnesium citrate
which is suppose to make the stones form in the tubes not the kidneys..no luck
there..so the er knows me well with my stones.since i can't seem to pass them
with out an iv/pain meds..pills just don't work anymore...

Thank you for the welcome. I have had my ostomy for many years. I am
almost thirty seven years old and I have had my ostomy since I was four. The
only real issue I have with it at the moment is my urologist says that I am
getting a lot of kidney infections due to having an ostomy. There is nothing
that can be done about this as I cannot be hooked up the regular way again. I
just asked him one day in his office, why did he think, I was getting so many
infection and subsequent kidney stones because of the infections and this is
what he said. That is one reason why I joined this group. I wanted to see if
anyone else was going through the same issues as I am. Anyway, other than that
I thank God for my ostomy. It saved my life. Thanks again for the welcome.

welcome to the world of having made a transistion(ostomy), how long have you
had your ostomy ? I am now approaching my third year and have almost adjusted
to the reality that it is there. I hope your adjustment went well or is going
