have a great wife who loves and supports me. If you or your husband need to talk
to someone who has been therte feel free to call me at 1-270-559-2869. Ask for
Bruce. Best of luck. And may God bless you'all
Wow, I am so grateful for all these responses.. thank you, Bruce. If it really
is okay, I would like to call and am sure my husband would like to talk to you
as well. Russ will love hearing that your ostomy has given so much back to you.
That is exactly what he is hoping for w/ his. He's hoping to even be home more
during the work week, hoping it will shorten how much time he's in the bathroom
while at work (let alone when home or just 'out and about', too) -& remove the
'problems' when he's in there. It helps to hear the 4-6 weeks (before going back
to work?) --that seems to be mentioned more than once on here. Russ will have
issues w/ that, but if it gets him healed, that's what matters. I know he's
nervous about the time away from work & then more time away when he stays home
after our son's surgery. We did this last year, too. I had two surgeries last
year, 5&1/2 weeks apart. Next year our son is due for a 2nd bone surgery & I go
back in for another
myself. It makes Russ nervous as things pile up, how his boss will respond to
it all. Russ was hospitalized twice this year already (for internal bleeding),
but used his laptop from his hospital room when he could --that's my husband.
Where do you live (I'm not familiar w/ the area code)... is there a time
difference between where you live & California? I don't want to call at a bad
time of day (or night).
Thanks again,
Meghan, Russ' wife
