I'm 49 now, and have had my ostomy for 2 years. I was married prior to
this happening to me, and, it has caused "difficulties" for relations
with my wife (beacuse it was emergency surgery, my pouch is positioned
just to the right of my belly button).

My wife had a really hard time dealing with the sight of the pouch at
first, but things have become better over time. Had I not been married
at the time, I think I would have had similar problems.
