I thought I add on by sharing a little about myself.
Will be 36 later this year. I am Charlene. I have both an ileo and
a uro. My rectum has been removed so the ileo is permanent. Usually
I think all ileo are permanent regardless of the rectum had been
remove or not. However a colo can be temporary or permanent pending
on whether the rectum has been remove or not. Sometime a temp colo
so the reconnection between the remaining good large intestine and
rectum could heal. An ileo is usually on the lower right abdomen and
a colo is on the left. In my case, I had my ileo first so it is
already on my right so two years later when I needed a uro, they had
to put it on my left side.

now you say you have an Illieostomy? I'm confused which is it? I'm
not sure which is which now?

intestins you then have an Ostomy. I they took out all of the big &
small intestens then it is an Illieostomy? Correct? I know that my
buttock is closed and my "Colostomy"is on my Left Side. I think that
is what they call an Ostomy? Yes???? You also said your surgery was
in 2001? how old are you? Where do you live?
