Hi Acie,
Correct me if I'm wrong, I believe you said you had an Ostomy, but now you say
you have an Illieostomy? I'm confused which is it? I'm not sure which is which
now?
I was under the impression that if you still have all of your intestins you then
have an Ostomy. I they took out all of the big & small intestens then it is an
Illieostomy? Correct? I know that my buttock is closed and my "Colostomy"is on
my Left Side. I think that is what they call an Ostomy? Yes???? You also said
your surgery was in 2001? how old are you?
Let me know please. Tx.
Mary

Hi Mary!
I have an Ileostomy. I opted to have all of my colon removed and my
rectum was removed due to having rectal cancer. My surgery was in
2001 (if I remember correctly). I have been blessed with not having
many of the problems that others have discussed, but I did have my
novice situations. My biggest problem is the psoriasis that developed
where my wafer sets, many problems there. You can contact me here or
at my regular e-mail address. I would be more than happy to answer
what I can.
