Hi everyone,
I have been off-line due to computer problems. I am on-line again.
If I can be of any help, let me know.
I have a colostomy and have had one since 1999. I had colorectal
cancer. The cancer was caught early and I have not had any problems
since; however, I have had intestional issues. I have had problems
with pain, nausea and such. I have been in the hospital many times
due to this. I am also taking pain medication. So far, my doctors
have not figured out the problems. The next step is for me to do the
enscopy by use of the small camera that you swallow. First, I need
to take a capsule that is the size of the camera. My doctor is not
sure that it will go through my system. If it does get stuck, it
will show up on an x-ray and the capsule itself will disolve. If the
capsule does go through my system, I will take the camera capsule.
It will take pictures of the small intestine which is what my doctor
wants. If the camera does get stuck, then I am looking at surgery
again.
I have had three ostomy revisions. I do not have a rectum due to the
cancer.
If I can be of any help to anyone, let me know. If we can talk
through the group that would be the best as the posts may help
someone else; however, if you want to talk one on one I can give you
my e-mail address.
Later,
