HELLO FELLOW OSTOMATES,I hope you are all
doing good and are healthy! I know i am no longer an ostomate,but
some have asked me to not unsub so I have decided to stay and try to
help who I can! I had my ileostomy for 2 yrs and have some experience
with stomas and pouching.I have never felt better since my takedown
and hernia repair!I am not trying to brag or rub this in anyones
face,just trying to update my health and hopefully give those of you
facing a possible ostomy takedown/hernia repair some hope for your
future.I do feel for those of you facing struggles with your
diversion,as I had HATED mine and am quite glad to be able to have
normal BMs now.Turned out I DID NOT even need the ostomy to begin
with!This was comfirmed by radionuclide capsule(motility)testing. For
those of you curious,yes I plan to sue the university of minnesota!!
They went by 1 lousy barium enema result,NOT motility tests. I will
be more than happy to chat with any of you facing such surgery,or
even just needing some advice!! WISHING EVERYONE THE BEST OF
