Your best bet would be to contact a ET or WOCN nurse. Especially if you are
having pain. Grape juice is a good mild (laxative). But for sure contact your
clinic. I know some colostomates that irrigate as directed by their ET it helps
to regulate the bowel movement. Make sure you are drinking your fluids also.
When your appliance fills it it loose or firm typically?

over a year now and am concerned
right now. My bag is not filling for the past two days like it should -
could this be something to be concerned about. I am ashamed to say I
have not changed my eating behavior - and have gained weight - but I am
concerned now because I don't want to develop a blockage or anything.
I have started eating oatmeal for the past two weeks for breakfast - to
make a "good" change and usually have sandwich, chips and piece of
fruit for lunch - and then "fast food" sorry to say for dinner - could
this be effecting me? They never told me what to eat or what not to
eat. Help - I don't want to fret if it is nothing - but I am used to
having my bag fill up first thing in the morning and then 2 to 3 times
during the day - and it has now stopped to just once yesterday - and so
far nothing today and it is 10:00 in the morning and I have been up
since 5 a.m. - so I am concerned. Thanks alot,
