HI I just saw my surgeon today,and he is scheduling my surgery in
january.wanted to do it in december,but told him I want to be home for
xmas.How am I gonna explain this to my 4yr old niece,who knows about
the stoma and my huge hernia?? I am quite pleased,but scared as the
ostomy surgery darn near killed me!!! I spent 3 weeks in the hospital
with an NG tube,and a central line for TPN.Got post op ileus real bad
and fear a longer stay with this one.But the hernia is incarcerated
and surgery is a must,as the diversion colitis is now starting to
bleed and the fatty acid enemas are so darn expensive!! So this will
get rid of that and this nasty hernia!! Have motility in my colon
now,so surgeon is positive it will work! Good round stoma he says! The
pain and hospital stay factors are what scare me the most!!
