FROM BRIDGEFREAK: I have an ileostomy, and get alot of those spasms you
describe. My question to you is:Do you have a hernia? Hernias can
cause severe spasms. It is also possible that you have an adhesion
from the surgery, causing these spasms! I have both, requiring ultram
and flexeril, which helps ALOT!!! Stomas don't usauly spasm, theres no
feeling in them.It could also be a spastic gut. Mention this to your
surgeon or a GI doc. If possible get a rx for ULTRAM and FLEXERIL as I
find this quiets these spasms. REMEMBER YOU DON'T SUFFER IN SILENCE!!!
Hope this helps!! I would be willing to bet theres either an adhesion
or hernia(Or one starting!!!)
