Tonight when I removed my pouch,I noticed the skin around my stoma was
shiny,purple and VERY painful!! Does anyone know what this is or what
causes it? It stings constantly despite a good fitting pouch! Also the
skin is hard. Could this be an allergy to the adapt barrier ring?

I think you should contact either an ET/WOCN Nurse or call the manufacturer of the product they usually have nurses on hand to help guide you. Purple isn't...
