The Patient Voices programme has grown rapidly since the first stories were created in late 2003, and now includes over 100 stories, all freely available via the Patient Voices website. There is also a programme of workshops resulting in a rapidly increasing number of storytellers; and a growing community of practitioners and educators who are using the stories in health and social care education and quality improvement programmes, at all levels and across all sectors, from management and leadership to providing continence care in care homes.
This discussion group offers an opportunity for you to share experiences of creating and using digital stories in health and social care. The group was established as part of a research project intended to find out more about the impact of the Patient Voices stories in healthcare education; that particular piece of research is now completed, and we hope that the group will now become an established part of the Patient Voices community.
Please feel free to share any ideas of ways in which you have - or intend - to use the stories, and use this forum to discuss ways in which stories could improve the quality of health and social care, health promotion and education for the next generation of health and social care providers.
