I'm now divorced after 27 years and am finding sooooo much peace.
The divorce got nasty because he resisted everything, although I
think the judge saw it. Yes, it went to court because he said
QUOTE "I'll take my chanes with the judge" Well he did and the judge
even is making him pay the taxes on my alimony. He denied I was
disabled (brain injury on Social Security disability) so we had to
get ny neuro. psych. to testify. He also said on the stand when
asked "you don't want to pay her one dime in spousal support do
you?" HE SAID NO!!! Well I think he pissed the judge off is what he
did. So now he has to pay me $600 a month for 5 years. I just got
the second payment and he even still controlled by writing in the
memo area 57 of 60. When it should have read 2 of 60. So I could
not put it in the bank until my atty had something in her hand from
his atty. stating it was 2 of 60. They are so sneaky! Now I'm
having to use some tough love on my 19 yr old because I see some of
this in him. He has agreed to go see our priest though. As where my
EX after being told by the priest on the second visit he was PA would
not go back. He is telling his family I'm the one the wanted the
divorce. I said "He drove HIMSELF to the atty." So how can I be
held responsible. I also told them I was the one who told our son
where to go live to finish his senior year, so that he would not have
to choose. Now he has gotten a full ride to college so will be
living in the dorm. I'm sooooo happy about that. His Dad can wallow
by himself!!!!!!
