not trying to say anything about the way anyone parents, but I think those of us
with young children can try their best to not be controlling with our children.
Our PA spouses had controlling parents and it is backfiring. It will be hard
for our children to grown up emotionally healthy when they have a PA parent as a
role model. God help us all!

I have considered divorce but that doesn't get rid of him when I have children.
I think it would be worse for me, actually. I see what he does when I do my own
thing when we live together and it is not pretty. He wouldn't take my bread out
of the oven for me like I asked because I was not home and he let it burn on
purpose. *&#@!

OK guys I haven't been here in awhile but as D day (Divorce Day) is
getting closer I guess he is getting more PA...I won't waste time
venting about him though. Now what I have began to see is PA in my
19 yr old. I gave him some tough love a few weeks ago and told him
this is my home and I will be treated with respect in my home and if
he didn't want to treat me that way then he could stay with his Dad.
(He is still in high school, graduates next month, then will be off
to college.) So he didn't really talk to me for a few days and then
I talked to him and told him "It's just like I told you when you were
a child that there is a consequence for your action." If you choose
to treat me this way then the consequence is you're not welcome in my
apt." It was so so so so hard to do BUT guess what it worked. His
girlfriends Mom said his girlfriend had told him he doesn't treat me
very nice. She said he got mad at first. Then within a day he was
texting me and always ending with I love you. Today he tried it some
more so bottom line is this......if your children are young WATCH
OUT! I wonder if somewhere in my sub conscious I knew I had to stick
it out until my son was this age. OK now only 1 more week in this
long 27 year marriage. Oh and he even still tried to blame me for
the divorce just a few weeks ago, until I said "did I drive you down
there?" Yeah I kept telling him go do it go do it but I didn't drive
him.
