hold on
your husband has shared honest feelings with you, something many pa's don't
even do. your feelings are important, but nobody's feelings are more important
to others as they are to themselves. and the feelings we have of needing praise
from our parents is very powerful. thank him for sharing and build on that.
you are angry. admit that, and find a way to work on yourself.
however, if the boys who molested your daughter are still around, and she's
still around, prosecute them. that IS something you can do that may help you
feel some power of your situation.
take care

My husband admitted to me today that the reason he would not act on
the issues WE TALKED about with his sons is because what concerned me
was not an issue to him, that he did not have it in his heart to
address the issues.
Same with his dad visiting, he does not feel he can tell his dad not
to come. He said that right now his dad might be vulnerable.
Who cares about my feelings, my thoughts, my concerns, my needs, or
even what I am going thru? I was put thru the ringer with his boys and
he NEVER took a stand to defend me. And WHO might be vulnerable??
I am so hurt but my hands are tied, no matter what I do or say it
won't be heard because he doesn't care. His family is more important.
I wasted 17 years of my life caring and trying.
