Hi,
I've been waiting for someone to respond in this group for a long time. I am
married to a "textbook" passive-aggressive man. I get SO frustrated sometimes
with him! I haven't read any of the books you listed, but I have heard of them
and know they're good. We have been in therapy for a while and things are
slooooowly getting better. He is learning to be more assertive so he can talk
about things that bother him, instead of it coming out in other ways. However,
it's hard to turn back 32 years of learned behavior.
Anyway, welcome! You and I might be it in this group for now. Hopefully more
people will join soon.
Niki

Subject: [Passive Aggressive Support] How does this group work?
Hello Everyone...
I'm currently "stuck" in a "relationship" with a passive-agressive
person, and am looking for a support group. Is there a non-PA therapist
moderating? How is information, help, insight being obtained?
At this point, I need tools, not so much a venting place... I've
already read "Living with the Passive Agressive Man", "Getting the Love
You Want", and "Relationhip Rescue" (amongst others). The relationship
has ended and renewed several times... the "cold turkey" approach isn't
working (and neither did the "warm turkey" approach). Obviously I'm
stuck in the cycle, and need work, support, tools, and a plan... and
yes, I'm already in therapy...
Thanks!
