The Pancreatitis Association, Inc. was established in August 1999, to provide health related educational services to persons whose lives have been affected by pancreatitis. This discussion board is one of the ways for community outreach.
Pancreatitis is a catastrophic, progressive, disabling, deteriorating, and debilitating disease. Treatment requires the skills and expertise of an interdisciplinary health care team, often under the direction or consultation of a pancreatologist. While the Pancreatitis Association, Inc. can not substitute for this important relationship with your health care provider, we do offer invaluable support, personal experience and information.
The Pancreatitis Association, Inc. is a professional organization with high standards. The discussion board is held to those standards. We ask that you let your posts show respect, dignity, understanding, acceptance and compassion for those who participate. Offensive, hostile, or profane language - to each other, or concerning doctors or hospitals, is neither acceptable nor congruent with our mission. Posts that do not comply will be deleted. Noncompliance with the rules and guidelines of this group can result in post moderation or unsubscription of membership. The rules and guidelines of the Association are sent to each new subscriber and should be reviewed before submitting your first post.
Copyright law prohibits the posting of, or cutting and pasting of, other web pages to the discussion board or in your posts. Members are prohibited from posting site information for personal web pages, blogs or other Internet groups.
