Dear Colin:
Much moved by your post and also recent outreach from those you beseech, I write just to add it is the United Nations (U.N.) International Disability Convention (Treaty) concerning which we have been convening - and to say a few further things.
As to the U.N. Convention discussion list in focus, some write on law, some on values, some of their own personal perspectives - and some in combination - and the posts are seasonal as concepts meet, converge, synthesize. Indeed we all have met on an Internet (discussion) list, this is simply confirmation.
I plan to write to you and others (more) about the "Respectful Interfaces" Programme, under the Communication Coordination Committee for the U.N..
It is at the interfaces that many things happen as well as the intrafaces (I recall now that we are already are discussing this).
The engineering principle is: "Systems degrade at the Interfaces, and complex systems can erode beyond repair (L. Belady; LDMF some enhancements). I like to think that systems bloom at the interfaces, and complex systems can develop beautifully with justice and values.
You write recently about some opportunities to interface which you have received by email, and your preference for a telephone call. Whatever modality is offered, my own opinion is that you may have to once again go that extra extra ... extra plus mile you so often venture upon in order to reach and help create an interface that works. Or several of them, indeed.
You will keep us up on the progress won't you. Even if you feel you are carrying the greater load; we have confidence in you. In part because of your understanding of the Intrafaces involved. And more.
I am going to "hit reply now," I am not acquainted with many on your addressee list, but some are colleagues at the U.N. and at large and I am hugely appreciative of their initiative and contributions. Would be very pleased to meet others.
SIncerely, LDMF.

Can I please ask for one more favour???To Adrian Whyatt,peer-advocate and all others who have been 'advocates' within my case who I've sent emails .....Can I please ask for one more favour from you all from the bottom of my heart, this is important I believe if I am going to have some 'closure' within my case and move on within my life, especially in the small amount of time I got left in this world( life is too-short for us all)Then hopefully in the short-time I got left on this planet, then I hope I can change my life around with a more 'positive future' within my personal life and continue and 'focus' within my campaigning for that of others with ND impairments and all disabled people. As you know I have given now nearly 10 years of my life being embattled with all the 'public-bodies' and Government Dep'ts and Courts, which has been my 'groundhog-day'.As you know I have always tried to use my own 'personal-case', as a 'political-life-story', that will emancipate other children, adults, families and carers who living with ND impairments each day and experience daily oppression within their life's and all other disabled people with other 'impairments' that I 'speak-out' too.I have also been 'pro-active in taken the 'political-ND-voice' to campaign within the local, national and International wider disabled global movement with other disabled people around the 'global-village'. I've been a 'pro-active' ND campaigner within the Direct Action Network too.I need you all to do me one more favour and this means I need some of your precious time, because I think it's important that you all 'back-up' the emails I sent to Angela Browning and Stephen Ladyman to 'back-up' everything I've said within my emails to them.It wouldn't look good within my case, if others are not supporting my case and writing to them too. It's important now that emails come from others 'outbox', not just mine.As I said I'm asking this from the bottom of my heart, if I'm going to move on within my life.I received an email from Dr Linda Misek-Falkoff, a colleague and peer-advocate within the U.D Disability Convention working group and her words really hit home to me as follows....."Thank you Colin for your good research for us here; it shows how much you contribute even in the midst of poor times for yourself. This is no reason for you not to have the programme you need; imagine how well you will be doing for yourself and for others when compliance with your plan is in place."LDMF.For Identification:

Multi-Organizational Spokesperson for Persons with Pain and the Human Rights of Persons with Pain (PWP)....... "imagine how well you will be doing for yourself and for others when compliance with your plan is in place."....."I've been trying to imagine this the last 10 years, it's always been 'my-dream' to feel empowered with the appropriate personal assistants, practical support, assistive-technology and living-environment that I've been assessed as needing, then this would enable me to achieve more within my personal and professional life in 'focussing' on my basic human and civil rights work and if given 'the-tools' and the 'freedom' to move forward within my life.To have my 'assessed-needs' met would enable me to have my basic human and civil right to 'independent living'.I would 'not' then have to experience my 'groundhog-day' being embattled with all these 'public-bodies', Government Dept's and 'the-courts' and be able to 'free-up' all the time my case has taken up all these years within my personal life each day, which if, then, I was 'empowered' I would have more time to 'empower' others and this would improve my 'confidence' and 'self-esteem' in having my' hierarchical of basic needs met' (Maslow) that would improve my overall 'quality of life' and my physical, emotional, behavioural, cognitive, social and psychological health and wellbeing.....'Imagine that eh?'Kind-RegardsColin Revell____________________________________________________________________________ This email and all attachments have been electronically scanned by Kingston Communications' email Anti-Virus service and no known viruses were detected. ____________________________________________________________________________
