The Human Rights Facets of Medicare, and watching how it develops   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #577 of 857 |
Dear friends,

Now that the Medicare Bill has passed, and in that U.S. law and social entailments and results are steadily watched as we progress toward international protections, it is hoped that all of us will be attentive to human rights aspects which may be emerging.

On both sides of the debates pro and con there were statements about dignity as well as access to prescriptions, and preventive care. This group is so well tuned to values as well as resources, that it can be a great wellspring of discussion and "eternal vigilance"  - the well known source of freedoms, so although the international treaty is our primary concern here, links and ideas on the human rights developments of Medicare will be appreciated. If an interest does not develop here though,  please forward your ideas to the undersighed.

Affectionate greetings to all celebrating Thanksgiving, and for all of us who are so very thankful in broad for each other,  our best wishes too, :) LindaMF.
