Dan – I am
very sorry to hear of your plight. I know a gentleman here in WA who has a very
similar story.
I wonder
if you have retained an attorney for you case. By SSA and Federal law their
fees are set, so you would be charged after a successful claim occurred. To get
the name of an attorney who would best serve you I would contact your local
NAMI affiliate or the Protection and Advocacy System for CA. (The State NAMI
office is in Sacramento 1-916-567-0163, but I am sure that Southern CA has a
good affiliate.) Even if you do not have a mental illness (I do – that is why I
am sending you there, the attorneys they can recommend would know the laws that
matter in your case.) The States’
Protection & Advocacy System is a federal program and I have found them to
be very knowledgeable here in WA. The last group I know of would be the Coalition
for Citizens with disabilities. In CA the numbers I have are 1-916-488-9955 or
1-800-776-5746.
I know
that the best way to approach things like this is one thing at a time. Perhaps
you could look at your list and divide the issues into smaller groups so that
it will not overwhelm whomever you are talking to. Maybe the social security
issue would be the best way to start – at least then you can hope to get some
funds to begin living in a healthier way. If you filed a SSA claim when you
talk with the attorney it will be very beneficial if you have that paperwork
all together. I was recently helping someone who found his claim from 1989 was
still open and he had one last chance to appeal. I do not know what happened,
as I referred him to an attorney since so much was at stake.
Well Dan –
that is all I can think of. I do wish you well. Good luck!
Helen.

Subject: [pain-in-the-law] Rights
granted by LAW.
I would welcome any and all help to get "all" the rights
grantedunder and by the "Law". I continue to have my :
civilrights,medical rights,legal rights,labor rights,and all my workers'comp
rights and benefits,from 1989 to date withheld,denied,andviolated. I continue
to have all my social security rights andbenefits withheld, denied, and
violated,from 1992 to
date.
I continue to be denied a "proper, ethical,or legal claim for
WC".This is as the result of a known fraudulent claim allowed to start
in1991 and continues to be allowed to stand, since 1995. Even thoughknown direct
evidence and an eye witess has been known to exist, butwas allowed to be kept
withheld/suppressed from becomingevidence,since
1992.
I have been denied any kindof hearing of any kind,by the same Administrative
Law Judge. Same ALJdenied every step of the process of Appeals,in knowing
directviolation of the Social Security Laws, from 1992 to 1994 and also,from1994
to 1996. I did not attempt a third attempt to file a new claim. The Appeals
Council in Virginia did absolutely nothing, both times. Ifelt they would do
nothing,no matter how many times I would file aclaim and the same ALJ would
deny me due process of Appeals.
As the result of crimes and rights violations commited to meand against me. I
have been : Handicapped since 1989,Unemployablesince 1992,and without any type
of any kind of an income, from 1993 tothis very
day. I have never been provided any kind
of medicaltreatment for eight work related injuries of 1989 and 1990,and
alsofor injuries of being rearended in a car accident in 1991,from 1989to date.
I live in southern California. &nbs! p; Any and all
help will beappreciated.
