Dear All,

As you know, the Trainee Session at this year's BAPS/EUPSA
Congress will be on the morning of Wed 17th June.

Thank you to all who submitted abstracts this year. The
number of submissions was again higher this year than
previous years and I understand the quality is also very
high. The abstracts have been sent to the judges and we
hope to inform authors of their decision by the end of
May.

The program for the session will be as follows:

- Trainee papers.

- "The Three Ages of a Consultant",
Miss Nikki Smith, Cambridge.
Mr Simon Kenny, Liverpool.
Mr Ed Kiely, London.

- Trainee Business Meeting. To include the appointment of
a new trainee representative.

- "How to Write a Paper",
Prof Paul Johnson, Oxford.

- "Cameras and telescopes",
Mr Azad Najmaldin, Leeds.

If you have not already done so please could you ensure
that you register for the session by emailing Kate
Billington on adminsec@.... Places are limited and
so only those registered will be able to attend.

The Trainee's Dinner will also be the same night, with Mr
Anthony Lander speaking after dinner and the presentation
of the winner of the presentation prize. If you would like
to attend then please send a cheque for £25 for BAPS
Associate Members (£30 for non-Members) to Kate Billington
at:

British Association of Paediatric Surgeons,
Royal College of Surgeons,
35-43 Lincolns Inn Fields,
London
WC2A 3PN

This includes a three-course meal and wine. Again places
are limited so please reply sooner rather than later.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as rotas allow in
Graz.

Iain and Clare.
