Graz Trainee session   Message List

Dear All,

Following the success of the previous years’ sessions, we
are again running the BAPS Trainee session and dinner at
the BAPS/EUPSA Congress in Graz.

The Trainee Session will take place on the morning of
Wednesday 17th June, the day before the official Congress
starts. As before, there will be time for free papers from
trainees with a prize for the best. There will also be
educational and general interest talks from consultants, a
full program will follow shortly. There is no charge for
attending the session.

A call for abstracts will follow in the next few days with
instructions on how to submit. Papers on any subject
relevant to paediatric surgery will be welcomed but it is
worth noting that preference will be given to papers that
describe work that is initiated and led by trainees.

In the evening there will be a trainees dinner following
the Congress welcome reception with an after dinner
speaker.

In previous years the dinner has been provided free of
charge for BAPS Associate members. Unfortunately, due to
the way the Congress is organised with EUPSA this is not
possible this year and so we will have to ask for a
contribution to the dinner from trainees. The cost for
BAPS Associate members is £25 and for non-members it is
£30. It is worth noting that the cost of this and the
conference fee will still be less than the associate
members’ conference fee last year.

Whilst the trainee session is open to all, the meal is for
trainees with only a select few consultants invited.

Places at both the meeting and the dinner are limited and
so we would ask that you register for both and forward a
cheque for the appropriate amount payable to British
Association of Paediatric Surgeons to Kate Billington at:

British Association of Paediatric Surgeons,
Royal College of Surgeons of England,
35-43 Lincoln’s Inn Fields,
LONDON,
WC2A 3PN.

We look forward to joining you in Graz,

Clare and Iain
