Dear All,
Happy New Year!
1. Please note that the excellent BAPS oncology course is on 29-30th
January at St George's - it is not too late to apply but please hurry!
(All details on the website).
2. Is anyone interested in a locum consultant job in Perth, Australia?
They are looking for someone at/nearly at the end of their training
who wants to get a bit more experience. Please see the email below and
reply to lizwhan@... if you are interested.
3. Finally don't forget the BAPS trauma day in Birmingham on 24th
February. Major Tai will be returning this year and some other
excellent speakers are lined up.
Best wishes,
Clare.
Hi there,
hope you had a lovely Christmas, and all the best for the new year! We
are hoping that you might be able to suggest any UK trainees who are
nearly finished or just finished training who might be interested in
spending a year or two as a locum consultant in Perth? We are trying
to expand numbers soon, but keep places for locals who still have a
few years to go in our training program, and hence would love to
accommodate people who would like a year or two's experience with us
before taking up a permanent post back home. If their primary degree
is from the UK then they can come & get registration without too much
hassle from the AMC. We are doing increasing numbers of laparoscopic
cases, particularly in neonates, and tend to try to do the big cases
together - which shares the experience around but is also pretty
supportive for the new consultant!
Hope you might be able to suggest someone who might be suitable; at
the moment we are canvassing for recommendations, will get to the
advertising stage once we know who is around!
Cheers,
Liz
