Dear All,

Happy New Year!

Please see below for information on the Association of
Surgeons in Training Conference. Abstract submission
closes in a week and as well as being a decent conference
this is an excellent way to get a national presentation on
your CV. I have been twice before and been impressed with
the speakers both times and would encourage you to think
about submitting something and going along. A flyer will
appear on the TRIPS site shortly.

Also, the eLogbook now has a function that allows you to
compare your logbook experience with others at the same
stage nationally. This is extremely helpful if you, or
your program director, is worried about your numbers. Of
course the more people that use the logbook the better
this function will be so I would encourage you all to use
it for this reason as well as that it is the SAC and BAPS
endorsed logbook.

With best wishes for 2009,

Iain
