On behalf of The Royal College of Surgeons of England, I would like to invite you to the Operative Skills in Neonatal and Paediatric Surgery Course (Formerly known as Core Skills in Paediatric Surgery). Originally this course was developed by the Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool and is designed to give trainees interested in paediatric surgery an introduction to core skills and common techniques.

This two-day course is aimed at senior SHOs interested in paediatric surgery, HST 1-3 in paediatric surgery. It is designed to introduce some of the techniques more commonly employed in paediatric surgery to trainees committed to a career in the specialty.

The course is interactive, teaching a high degree of practical skills training using specially designed models. It is a small and intensive course, with a high faculty to participant ratio. Places are limited and early booking is advised.
