As you know there is currently discussion about
whether people with ST2 contracts should or
should not have run training. Whilst it seems incredible that this seems not to
have been
resolved at this stage, Paediatric Surgical SpRs have been asked for their
view. Given that this
issue will effect those at a different stage of training, it seems sensible to
also collect the
view of people looking for ST3 posts. Iain Yardley and I have outlined one
possible response
as a starting point. This is at http://www.trainee.
Incidentally, if you are planning to go to the SpR Training day, now would be a
good time to
send in the form. Also, nobody has put their hand up for the rep post so far.
