As you may know, with PMETB now requiring prospective approval for
training posts from the beginning of the year (including OOPES and
research posts) there has been the threat that those in research/OOPE
(or just completed)would not be able to count their training towards
the 6 year total unless it was already approved by the SAC.

I have heard (through a "source") that those good sensible people at
the SAC are inclined to grant approval retrospectively until the end of
the month. The official deadline for this was the end of May for
documentation to be submitted (see

After that, tough.
