dear Clare,
I hope you are well, haven't spoken to you for ages. I
have some Keeler Loupes. the vision is excellent but they
are a little heavy when worn for long cases, I like 2.5x
magnification with a focal length of 16 inches. Most reps
will come out and measure an appropriate focal distance
for you height and a comfortable operating distance - when
first using loupes the lower magnification are a bit
easier, although if you're planning on doing a lot of
urology you might want to consider 3.5x but then you would
need the expanded field which is a lot more expensive.
Most people that I have spoken to reckon that designs for
vision are the best but they are also the most expensive.
I'm back in Birmingham if you want to give me a call -
hope the twins are well, how old are they now?
Best wishes
Dan Carroll
