There has been a suggestion that we resurrect the Paediatric Surgical trainee
webpage.
Before doing so we wanted to be sure that it would be considered useful, and if
so,
establish what people would want on it. Abraham Cherian has drafted a web page
and
inserted links to illustrate how the webpage may look
(http://homepage.ntlworld.com/
abrahamcherian/pstuk/index.html). This could also be used as a base for the
development
of other educational resources for trainees.
So...
1. Do you think this would be used?
2. Are there any additional pages/links that you would suggest?
3. The site would need to be updated weekly. Abraham would be happy to be
involved, but
are there any IT literate year 1-3 trainees interested to split the work and
take things on
when Abraham leaves?
4. Funding; initial costs of won't be much, but may increase with time. To keep
things
running smoothly, we need a reliable source of funding. The options are to
approach a
company and allow them to advertise. Alternatively, Amazon give a kickback for
any books
bought through a particular website. If we go ahead, does anyone have objections
to
either of the above?

Thankyou

Jonathan Sutcliffe
