A well prepared Scientific Exhibition is strongly supported.
Tawam Hospital in Al Ain is the National Oncology Referral Centre. An exciting program is being developed in collaboration with Johns Hopkins Medicine, Baltimore, under whose auspices Tawam Hospital is now managed by the General Authority for Health Services for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Recently, Johns Hopkins Medicine signed an agreement assuming administrative “operational oversight” at Tawam. The multidisciplinary Conference program will be facilitated by the participation of eminent international speakers from Johns Hopkins Medicine, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (New York), Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland), Mayo Clinic (Rochester), MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston), University of Toronto, University of Wales, University College (London, UK), St. Bartholomew’s Hospital (London, UK), the University of Newcastle upon Tyne (UK), University of Ulm, University of Heidelberg and University of Leipzig

The Scientific program will feature many of the world’s leading experts in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Sessions will also focus on ethical and moral issues for staff caring for patients. In addition, panel discussion will
take place, tackling such issues as “Cancer in the UAE, the way forward”. This session will draw on the expertise of Senior Administrators in the Healthcare sector with representation from the General Authority for Health Services, Johns Hopkins Medicine, the Department of Health and Medical Services in Dubai and the Ministry of Health. Every effort will be made to explore ways to enhance services to provide a brighter future for patients with cancer. This International Conference now provides the best opportunity we have had to date in the UAE to develop and refine strategies for overcoming the disease.
