The atlas currently contains approximately 70 cases, mostly presented with relevant case history, imaging data, and myocardial perfusion of SPECT images. The "findings" section includes annotated images and textual explanations of the images. General tutorials are included on normal mycocardial perfusion SPECT imaging, cardiac pathophysiology, basic imaging quality control, radiopharmaceuticals, stress protocols, imaging protocols and quantification. | The Bristol BioMed Learning and Teaching project (BB-LT) is a learning and teaching resource that aims to "encourage and support the use of digital images within the biomedical learning and teaching domain, highlighting the range of ways in which Bristol BioMed images can be used." This resource contains a collection of practical examples of image-based learning and teaching materials, and these include online tutorials and case studies. Currently (October 2003) resources in this collection cover histology of the GI tract, pathology of pneumonia, renal failure, cobalt chromium wax-up, anatomy of dentures, the glomerulus, pathology of glomerulonephritis, denture design, and gypsum model and die materials. Detailed information is provided on the authors of these teaching materials, guides on how to use these resources, and a glossary of useful terms. These teaching resources have been created using PowerPoint, CALnet and Web page editors and include the use of documents created in MS Word. |

The Image Archive (Bristol BioMed) was developed to meet the needs of lecturers who require ready access to an archive of re-usable images and also of those who are currently creating computer-based learning materials for use in teaching. The images can be used free of charge in learning and teaching. The Archive has been developed as a shared resource, with images donated by members of medical, veterinary and dental institutions worldwide. Images may be downloaded and saved for inclusion in computer-based learning or teaching material. To access the images it is necessary to register. A collection of 20,000 images are also available on videodisc. Hosted by the Institute for Learning and Research Technology (ILRT) at the University of Bristol. |
