I'm new on this web site, but I have been on and run my own AF web
site for over 6 years.
I don't understand for sure what your doc. was saying, but your atria
could be in normal sinus rhythm and your ventricles could be beating
at a faster rate. This would be if the WPW pathway was still
functional.
If you had a AV node ablation, you must have a pacer. I don't
understand his statements if you do have a pacer.
I would ask for a better explanation.
