It is funny that you mentioned Echinacea as being a trigger for afib. When I
had my very first major episode, I was recovering from a sinus infection. I was
taking Diovan (which put me in tachycardia the first night I took it), Z-Pack,
Echinacea with Goldenseal and Astragalus. My b/p was also extremely high as it
gets whenever I have an infection. I am wondering if the combination of all
these meds and herbs plus the hypertension caused the afib.
