Hi Andre:
Good to hear that you are away from the
toxins. As to the reason for your rashes, there are so many variables that
could be the cause it would be impossible to say. As Edy stated, rashes do
occur even in normal saunas, could be an allergy to your own toxins coming from
sweat glands, could be heat rash, could be..........
AS to an allergy to ozone, that would not be
it...one thing I can say is DO NOT SCRACH!
May God Bless You And Keep You Well

Subject: [oxyzone] Skin rash after
ozone sauna (CFS patient)
Hello!
A few months ago I posted about my skin rashes after ozone sauna therapy. At
that time I was using a Chinese sauna tent which I did not trust because of
chemicals.
Recently I have build my own ozone steam sauna cabinet completely made of glass
and silicon.
I started ozone sauna therapy with just a few minutes per session. I increased
the session time to about 12 minutes. I used 1.5 liter oxygen/min, ozone about
about 20 gamma. I got skin rashes especially on the back, the arms, the tummy,
the shoulders, the hands. See pictures here:
http://members.quicknet.nl/andre.ligthart/ozone/ozone.html
There was a LOT of itching and it took a few days before the itching subsided
after each session. I kept 2 or 3 days rest between ozone sessions (to let the
skin heal somewhat).
I am now sure that the skin rashes are not caused by chemicals in the materials.
What I did notice is SOME improvement in my symptoms and that's the reason that
I kept on trying and let my skin look so bad. My symptoms are extreme fatigue,
a lot of brain problems (impaired cognitive functioning, slowed procssing
speeds, bad concentration, awkward feeling the brain and more), dry skin and
constipation. My symptoms (especially the brain symptoms) are so bad, that is
drives me crazy because I suffer all day ;-(
Please help me if you know or suspect what this skin reaction is about...
The skin rashes are not a result of the 'heat' of the steam, because I have
done a lot of regular sauna therapy with a lot of sweating and temperatures of
over 100 degrees celcius without any skin rashes. I have not used chemical
soaps for years, so there cannot be a lot of 'dirt' or 'chemicals' in the skin.
Is it possible that my skin reaction is expressing some infection, like a viral
infection? Is it possible that my skin is just allergic to ozone?
I suspect that I can get used to this therapy, but it takes a lot of patience,
a lot of bad skin for a long time and a lot of itching. I am not sure if it is
worth while trying.
I am very curious if someone can help me interpreting this results.
