Hello Ariel,
I am sorry to hear about your dad's infection. First, if you don't live
within driving distance of NYC and no one near you does direct IV ozone therapy
then I would start with rectal insuflation twice daily to get some ozone into
the blood.
If it is possible to get a syringe that can be filled with ozone (I
reccomend 25 or 27 gauge needles) inject directly into the infection once daily
with a 50-55mcg concentration 10-30cc's of oxygen/ozone gas.
I am currently treating a diabetic with infected, gangrenous ulcers of the
hallux(big toe) and have treated three similar cases just this past year
successfully. It may be necessary to compliment with Avolox oral antibiotic or
whatever the culture and sensitivity test says is the best one to use. While I
am a Holistic, alternative doctor, and very rarely prescribe traditional
medicine, saving your father's leg is more important than avoiding medicine
unless he is allergic to it.
I am in total agreement with Peter, in that if bagging is to be done, then
only use proper material. It is a good idea. It may be possible to find a glass
jar with a wide enough mouth and enough depth to put your dad's forefoot into
it. Seal it with whatever Peter suggests. Use it in a very well ventilated room,
windows open. Pump enough gas to fill the jar. It need not be continuously
pumped in, but added to every 10 minutes as the ozone degenerates into oxygen.
Keep the foot and jar on the floor, as ozone is heavier than air, and thus you
will breathe in only minimal amounts of ozone.
In case you didn't know, I am a licensed Podiatrist, foot specialist since
1973.
Best of luck,
Dr Howard Robins
