Ozone can be somewhat irritating and yes, in higher
concentrations, very high, may be toxic although I have never experienced that.
Ozone should only be bubbled in olive oil as it is easier when doing inhalation
therapy. No, the only real consideration when doing insufflations is the fact
that even good bacteria that is in our body is still bacteria and will be
eliminated with ozone, so it is wise to replenish in whatever manner one
chooses. The answer to your previous question as mentioned to me by one of my
close friends is to either have a fan nearby so that the residual ozone from
your therapy can be blown away from you or to quite simply wrap a towel around
the catheter.
