Hi,
I had my surgery almost 24 years ago and NO, I didn't go thru what
he is going thru.. There are alot of things to consider thou..Alot
of details your not sharing here, you may not have them to share. I
would definetly DEMAND that the dr. and or surgeons set down with
you and somebody else you trust, maybe a son or daughter thats older
age wise and get some questions answered.. If they refuse to do this
I would contack hospital administration, another dr. or surgeon for
a 2nd opinion or if those lines fail go to the board of medicine. I
would like to say this to you, anything you don't feel right about
or don't understand make sure they explain it until you do....
Remember these dr.'s, this hospital work for you... Get some back up
with you and get things resolved one way or the other... You are
speaking for him now also...
We are here for you if you need some support... He may be still in a
healing mode it's hard to say without knowing all of his medical
history.. I will say I wasn't on solid foods for a good 6-10 days
after surgery. The good thing is if there feeding him iv wise and
it's going into the pouch, sounds as thou thing are working
correctly. Ask some questions and demand some answers!!!!
Fondly,
Shannon
