Problem Behavior Solutions - A Functional Behavioral Approach
A Parent & Professional Workshop on Functional Behavioral Assessments
(FBAs) & Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
http://www.behavior-consultant.com/FBA%20Workshop%20-%200209.htm
Description: Everyone has bad days. Some children have more than
their share of them. The people who love them and care for them try
what they know, but sometimes that's not enough. The Problem Behavior
Solutions workshop focuses on how to go about systematically
addressing each of those behaviors that make for bad days and replace
them with behaviors that make for great days! This workshop is for
parents who want to develop new skills for problem solving and finding
solutions, and for school and agency staff as well. This workshop
presents a three-tier approach to performing Functional Behavioral
Assessments. Participants will receive instruction in direct
observation for Functional Behavioral Assessments along with material
designed to guide them through the first two stages of the process. A
variety of forms and handouts are provided in order to facilitate
immediate use of the skills learned at this workshop. Space is
limited to make ensure that participants will have time to ask
specific questions and receive answers during the workshop. Follow-up
and ongoing support is available - please inquire.
Continental Breakfast and Chick-Fil-A Lunch are provided.
