The OLD rule was every 3 years. The newer rule is as needed.
Generally. Given that your son is 7, was last evaluated when he was 4
or 5, it would make sense to reevaluate with both the developmental
changes associated with the passage of all that time at that age AND
your moves across states.
My recommendation is to make a polite FORMAL WRITTEN request for a
reevaluation and deliver it to the SpEd administrator involved in
serving your son.
